Locate and open the USB port cover on the motus sensor. Carefully insert the smaller, Micro USB fitting into the sensor’s port. Take care to orient cable fitting properly and do not force cable into port. The sensor’s LED will blink red initially, then green. Full charge is indicated by solid green LED. 2 » Download motus app(s) Download desired motus app(s) from Apple’s App Store. Follow in-app instructions to pair your sensor. 3 » Update Firmware If asked to upgrade firmware while setting up your profile or connecting to your sensor, select ‘Yes’. Firmware updates are occasionally needed to make sure your sensor operates the way it should, as bugs are fixed and new features are rolled-out. Updates should improve your overall experience and help you get the most out of your motus sensor. Accessory Clip Setup 1 » [BATTING] Attach clip to your batting glove The included accessory clip is used for affixing your motus sensor to your batting glove (bottom hand when gripping bat). 2 » [BATTING] Insert sensor in accessoy clip Slide the fully charged motus sensor into the accessory clip with the sensor’s LED and “motus” logo facing up. 3 » [BATTING] Launch motusBATTING™ app Launch the motusBATTING™ app and follow in-app instructions to complete your player or coach profile and calibrate sensor. Throwing Sleeve Setup 1 » [THROWING] Insert sensor in sleeve The included performance sleeve is used to hold your sensor while monitoring throws. Insert the fully charged motus sensor into the BLUE PATCH slot on the inside of the performance sleeve (USE BLUE PATCH ONLY). Be sure to face sensor’s serial number label toward you and align triangular arrow on sensor with triangular arrow on pocket (arrows highlighted yellow in photo). 2 » [THROWING] Wear sleeve on throwing arm To find the correct placement on your arm hold your throwing hand out in front of you with your palm facing up. Find the bone on the inside of your elbow, often referred to as your funny bone. Then find the target printed on the outside of the sleeve (located roughly at mid sleeve). Pull the sleeve onto your arm and position the target directly over your funny bone. Your sensor will sit about two finger widths from this bone on the inside edge of your forearm. 3 » [THROWING] Launch desired motus app Launch the motusTHROW™ or motusQB™app and follow in-app instructions to complete your player or coach profile.
